What counts as research?

Any subject. Health, engineering, technology, the environment, education, housing, food, the arts, and more are all welcome. Did you survey your school? Build an app for local seniors? Map heat on your bus route? Study how people in your neighborhood get food? That’s research.

Turn it into 250 words.

You don’t need a lab.

If you asked a real question and tried to answer it, you can apply.

How it works

  1. Submit your abstract by Nov 26. Tell us in under 250 words .

  2. Round 1. Three judges read every entry. The top 8–10 students advance, and each receives a $50 Amazon gift card.

  3. Send your poster, by Dec 18. Finalists send us a poster file by 11:59 PM, and The Connection Sphere prints it for free.

  4. Round 2, Jan 9. Finalists present their posters on site. Two students are awarded, based on their combined abstract and poster scores.
